Sunday 06/30/2013....

I was able to sit down for about an hour at a city park in Ames, Ia and play with the KX3.

We were in Ames for the weekend to visit some my wife's extended family. There is a nice city park behind my sister-in-law's home that has some nice trees and picnic tables. I went to the park and threw up a random wire antenna in the trees and put the KX3 and Macbook Air on the picnic table.

I had a nice 20 minute long CW qso on 20m with a 5 lander from Texas.

I am really enjoying the KX3 and it has been fun to have a radio that I can be on the air while camping and traveling in a minute of a few minutes.
